Ingredients: green tea, pu-erh tea, licorice root, reishi mushroom, rosemary, bilberry, stevia. Contains caffeine from green tea and pu-erh tea.
About the ingredients
- Licorice root and rosemary are traditionally used in Western herbal practice to support digestion and liver wellness. Not a treatment for liver disease.
- Traditionally used to support bile flow and digestion.
- Green and pu’erh tea contain natural caffeine and L-theanine, studied for alertness (Owen 2008; Giesbrecht 2010).
- Green tea is rich in antioxidant catechins (Cabrera 2006), and a reishi extract improved antioxidant markers in healthy adults (Chiu 2017).
- A reishi extract changed some immune markers in healthy adults (Chen 2023). Not for heart or blood-pressure conditions (Klupp 2015).
Safety
Contains licorice root: regular licorice can raise blood pressure and lower potassium (Penninkilampi 2017). Avoid if you have high blood pressure, heart or kidney disease, or take blood-pressure, diuretic or heart medicine; don’t drink daily for long periods. Contains caffeine. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding (licorice). Reishi may interact with blood thinners.
