Body Bites Organic Weight Loss Tea is a broad herbal blend built on green and pu’erh tea, made to go with balanced eating and regular movement. Tea doesn’t dissolve fat, and research shows only small effects on weight (Jurgens 2012, Cochrane). Enjoy as part of a balanced routine.
Ingredients: pu’erh tea, green tea, bilberry, chickweed, dandelion, echinacea, evodia, ginkgo biloba, irvingia, maral root, shepherd’s purse, zizyphus, mustard seed, calendula, rosemary.
About the ingredients
- Contains green and pu’erh tea. Studies of green tea catechins and caffeine found a small rise in daily energy use (Dulloo 1999; Hursel 2011), at doses higher than one cup.
- Green tea extract has been studied for its thermogenic (heat-producing) effect (Dulloo 1999).
- Pu’erh extract has been linked with modest waist changes in one 12-week study (Kubota 2011), and irvingia seed extract research is mixed (Lee 2020). Green tea’s overall effect on weight is small (Jurgens 2012).
- Green tea is naturally rich in antioxidant catechins (Cabrera 2006); bilberry adds anthocyanins.
- Dandelion and chickweed are traditionally used in Western herbal practice for a lighter, less-bloated feel.
- Dandelion leaf has a traditional use in European herbal practice for urinary flow.
- Echinacea is traditionally used as a seasonal tonic; research on colds is inconclusive (Karsch-Völk 2014).
- Maral root is traditionally used in Siberian herbal practice as a vitality tonic; mustard seed and rosemary are traditional warming, digestive herbs.
